We are engineers who think replatforming is a solvable problem
One hundred per cent bootstrapped. No investors, no board, no growth targets set by someone who has never read a stack trace. We take on legacy migrations because we think the work is genuinely interesting and because the people stuck with it are usually doing it alone.
How we work
What we actually believe
- Comprehension is the bottleneck, not typing
- Every failed rewrite we have looked at failed at understanding the old system, not at building the new one. That is where the effort goes.
- The spec is the deliverable
- If the recovered behaviour is right, the implementation is regenerable. If it is wrong, no amount of clean architecture saves it.
- Prove it, or it did not happen
- Characterisation tests, shadow traffic and response diffing on every route. We do not ask anyone to take a migration on faith.
- Say when the answer is "do nothing"
- Sometimes the cheapest correct answer is to keep running what you have. We would rather tell you that and keep the relationship.
